Artist in acrylic, oil, gouache and watercolour, born in London. He studied at Regent Street Polytechnic School of Art and Watford School of Art, 1947–52. Rosser, made a member of ROI in 1978, was fond of bright colours and pictures full of light, including landscapes, coastal scenes, gardens, figurative and studio subjects. Group shows included RA Summer Exhibitions, RBA, NEAC, RI and Blackheath Gallery. Had a series of solo shows including Hallam Gallery, Brian Sinfield Gallery in Burford and Chelsea Library. Rosser’s one-man exhibition at Conway Hall in 2001 illustrated pictures from the southeast of England, where he lived, plus travels on the continent, in New Zealand and Australia. He had work published by the Medici Society. BP Oil and Watford Museum hold examples.
