Sculptor and teacher, born in Aberdeen, where he lived for many years, although latterly at Blairgowrie, Perthshire. Robertson studied at Glasgow School of Art, 1933–4, then at Gray’s School of Art, 1934–8, teachers including T B Huxley-Jones and Benno Schotz. He lectured at Gray’s, 1946–79. Robertson was elected SSA in 1947, a fellow of RBS, 1963, and RSA in 1977. He showed at RA, Royal Glasgow Institute of the Fine Arts, Kingfisher Gallery in Edinburgh and elsewhere. Aberdeen Art Gallery, Aberdeenshire Education Authority and Princeton University, in America, hold examples.
