
Painter, teacher and administrator, born in Bideford, Devon. Attended the School of Art there, Brighton College of Art, then Royal College of Art. Became vice-principal of Brighton College of Art, having joined its staff in 1924. Exhibited RA, RI, ROI, in the provinces and abroad, the South Downs, near his home in Hove, being a frequent subject for his pictures. Medici Society and Frost & Reed reproduced his work, which is in galleries in Hove, Eastbourne, Southport and Brighton. Member of Brighton Arts Club.
