Painter and draughtsman, born in Peterborough, Huntingdonshire, who studied at the Slade School of Fine Art. From 1929–34 he lived in New Zealand, where his work was keenly sought in later years. He also lived in Suffolk and Jersey for a time. Exhibited at RA, ROI, London Salon and RP. He was a fine portrait draughtsman, subjects including the artists Adrian Allinson and Harry Jonas, included in a group of Perkins’ works sold at Phillips in 1996, provenance Perkins’ family. His daughter was the painter Julia Laden.
