
Painter and illustrator, born in Wales, married to the artist Fiona Owen. He achieved an honours degree in illustration at Newport College of Art and settled in the Cotswolds, painting pastoral scenes influenced by Victorian genre painters. In 1978 he won second prize in the International Mural Competition; was a prizewinner in the International Watercolour Competition twice in 1979–81; and won first prize in 1981 in the Rural Church Preservation Competition, judged by John Piper. Showed at RA, Mall Galleries, widely in the West Country and with his wife at Medici Galleries in 1982.
