Painter who was born in Barry, Glamorgan. He studied at Cardiff College of Art, 1955–9, Slade School of Fine Art, 1959–61, then had a postgraduate year at the Slade. A 1962 Abbey Major Scholarship took him to Rome, where he continued to live. In 1963–4 he won a Gulbenkian Foundation Purchase Award. Lefevre Gallery gave him a series of solo exhibitions.
