Painter, printmaker and cartoonist for the Glasgow Evening News in the 1920s, born in Clarkston, Renfrewshire. After initial education at Greenock Academy he attended Glasgow School of Art, 1919–23, under Maurice Greiffenhagen and David Forrester Wilson. He exhibited RSA, Royal Glasgow Institute of the Fine Arts, Walker Art Gallery, Liverpool, and Paris Salon. Glasgow Art Gallery and Museum holds his work. Lived at Lenzie, Dunbartonshire.
