Painter, printmaker and teacher who produced abstract works. He was born in Stourbridge, Worcestershire, attending the College of Art there, 1960–3; Birmingham College of Art, 1963–5; and Royal College of Art, 1965–8. Taught from 1974, including Birmingham Polytechnic, Camberwell School of Arts and Crafts and the London Institute, where he was senior lecturer in fine arts. Group exhibitions included RA student exhibition, 1967; New British Painting, ICA, 1969; and 1974 John Moores Liverpool Exhibition. Had a series of solo shows at New Art Centre from 1969 and an exhibition of prints and drawings at Cinema Gallery, Aldeburgh, for the Festival, 1990. Also showed on the continent and in America. Worked in London and Suffolk.
