
Artist, notable as a producer of hand-painted prints and stained glass, born in Warwickshire. He studied at Lanchester Arts Polytechnic, 1975–7 and Swansea College of Art, for stained glass, 1977–81, receiving the Howard Martin Design Award, 1980. Commissions included Shell Oil UK, 1985; Standard Chartered Bank, 1987; Middlesbrough Town Hall, 1990; Prudential Properties, 1993; Wellcome Trust, 1996; Shangri La Hotel, Dilain, China, 1998; Worshipful Company of Grocers, 2001; and Holmes Place, Lisbon, Portugal, 2002. Strategic Art Galleries, Chagford, showed Jones’s work on paper at Art on Paper, Royal College of Art, 2002.
