Painter who took up painting in 1961 after meeting Duncan Grant, who became a close friend. She studied at Chelsea School of Art and with Oskar Kokoschka in Salzburg. In 1964 married Lord Dufferin. Worked for Harper’s and Queen as a journalist and photographer, then at ICA before becoming a full-time artist in 1969, with added studies at Slade School of Fine Art. She travelled in India, Italy and Greece and showed in London and Ireland. Solo exhibitions included Gallery Edward Harvane, 1975; Eyre and Hobhouse Ltd, 1979; The Maclean Gallery, 1981; The Solomon Gallery, Dublin, 1983; and Browse & Darby, 2004. National Self-Portrait of Ireland, University of Limerick, holds her 1999 self-portrait. Lived in London and Clandeboye, County Down, Northern Ireland.
