Painter of colourful, slightly stylised work, and teacher, born in Bristol, who at Leicester Polytechnic, 1969–70, did a foundation course, then an honours degree in fine art, 1970–4. She was involved in adult education in Leicestershire, 1978–84; was a visiting lecturer at De Montfort University, 1980–1–4; lectured part-time at University of Leicester, 1984–98; and was a part-time tutor at Loughborough College of Art and Design, 1996–8. In 1982 and 1992 Grevatte was a visiting/exchange artist to Saarland, Germany. Took part in many group shows, including from 1980 Browse & Darby; Ash Barn, Petersfield, from 1982; Scottish Gallery, Edinburgh, from 1984; Austin/Desmond, from 1988; and New Ashgate, Farnham, from 1994. Had many solo exhibitions, latterly ones including The John Davies Gallery, Stow-on-the-Wold, 1999, with a retrospective, Leicester City Museum, 2001.
