Painter, printmaker and teacher, born in London, married to the artist June Green. He attended Beckenham School of Art, 1949–53, and after National Service in the Far East was at Royal College of Art 1955–8, winning a Major Travelling Scholarship which took him to France and Italy in 1958–9. Won many awards and prizes in Britain and especially abroad. Among his teaching posts were Hornsey and Leeds Colleges of Art and Ravensbourne College of Art and Design. While at Leeds he took part in The Teaching Image, a Leeds College staff show at the City Art Gallery. He also showed extensively in mixed exhibitions overseas. Showed also particularly with Annely Juda Fine Art. Arts Council, British Council and Guggenheim Museum, New York, hold his work, which was abstract, as seen in The British Art Show, chosen by the critic William Packer, which was toured by Arts Council in 1980.
