Painter, born in Sri Lanka, who spent most of his life in England and who graduated from St Martin’s School of Art, 1994. From 1995 had a series of solo shows with Cassian de Vere Cole Fine Art. Emmanuel’s canvases were in the style of the Old Masters, with figures whose heads faded into the landscape, giving them a slightly Surrealist quality.
