Sculptor, watercolourist and draughtsman. After education in the south of England he served in south Wales coal mines, 1944–7, then qualified as an architect in 1953. First one-man show at Cooling Galleries, 1943. Was a founder-member of the 56 Group and joined the Society of Christian Artists. Had a retrospective toured by Oriel 31, Newtown, 2001 and took part in group shows including RCamA, WAC, SWG and Daily Express Young Artists Exhibition in 1955. Commissioned work included National Union of Mine Workers and Medical Research Council, for which he completed a tile mural. Contemporary Art Society and Pembroke College, Oxford, bought his work.
