Sculptor born in Ipswich 1946. Studied at Great Yarmouth College of Art (1966–1967), Coventry College of Art (1967–1970) and the Royal College of Art (1970–1973). Awards include the RCA Travel Award (1972), Sainsbury Award (1974), Stichting Kaus Australis, Rotterdam (1998) and the Jack Goldhill Award for Sculpture (RA, 2003). He was a recipient of an Arts Council Great Britain Fellowship at Yorkshire Sculpture Park (1980–1981) and a Henry Moore Fellowship in Sculpture at Norwich School of Art (1985–1988). Various exhibits include the 8th Paris Biennale of 1973, the 1977 Silver Jubilee Exhibition in Battersea Park, 'The British Art Show' (1979–1980) ACGB and touring, and the Roundhouse Gallery, London (1979). Cobb has had solo exhibitions at Anne Berthoud Gallery, London and North House Gallery, Manningtree.
