Artist and lecturer who gained a first-class fine art degree from Wolverhampton Polytechnic, 1977–80, including a student exchange, École des Beaux-Arts, Marseilles, France, 1978; with a master’s in printmaking, Slade School of Fine Art, 1980–2. Lectured at art colleges, including Cardiff, Newport and Wolverhampton. Contributed to Impress, Artists Newsletter and Printmaking Today. Among Christian’s travels were a journey through China to research her family roots, which stemmed from Macau. She also visited Clayoquot Sound, Vancouver Island, British Columbia, to study Indian culture. Took part in numerous group shows, later ones including River Deep, Mountain High, touring Scottish galleries and museums, 1997; Cheltenham Open Drawing, tour including Germany, 1998; and National Print Competition, Mall Galleries, 1999.
