Sculptor and teacher, born in Blackpool, Lancashire. He studied at the local School of Art, 1962–5, St Martin’s School of Art, 1965–6, and City & Guilds of London Art School, 1966–70, with periods in Greece and Italy. Blakeley was a member of SPS and an associate of RBS and was noted for his work in stone and clay. Showed at Guildhall, Royal Exchange, Mall Galleries, and Harris Museum and Art Gallery in Preston. Taught at Sir John Cass College. Lived in Welwyn Garden City, Hertfordshire.
