Art UK is a free-to-access platform that brings together the national collection together in one place. At least 80% of the UK's publicly owned art is not on display. Our work is radically changing this, making what is publicly owned publicly accessible.
We undertake digitisation programmes to photograph and record artworks, and we ingest data from collections to grow and update Art UK. Through showing art online, we enhance data through crowdsourcing initiatives and provide an image licensing platform to manage copyright.
